SHUPL Held an Online Meeting with Keele University for a Cooperation Discussion

On February 25, 2021, SHUPL held an online meeting with Keele University, aiming to promote the work on Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, Chinese language & culture center, foreign experts and the quality of international students in China. Dr. ZHANG Zhengyi, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office of SHUPL; ZHOU Yi, Vice Dean of School of International Communication and Exchange & Vice Director of International Students Office; WANG Yajuan, Deputy Director of the Cooperation Department of China National Institute for SCO International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation (CNISCO); faculty of International Affairs Office and International; Professor Tim Lustig, Faculty Dean for Education of Humanities and Social Sciences of Keele University; Professor Dominic Janes, Faculty International Director of Humanities and Social Sciences; Mr. David Hazelgrove, Collaborative Provision Officer; Ms. Emma Pearce, Director of Student Exchange Programs; and ZHAO Qi, Director of China Admissions, attended the meeting.

The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. ZHANG Shaoying, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office, also Director of the Literature and Information Service of CNISCO, and Professor David Law, Academic Director of Global Partnerships of Keele University. During the meeting, David Law expressed Keele University's willingness to develop more programs and opportunities for cooperating with SHUPL, especially to expand high-level cooperation in the areas of preponderant disciplines, talent training, faculty exchange visits, language center, etc. ZHANG Zhengyi, ZHOU Yi and WANG Yajuan introduced SHUPL’s advantages of cooperation in related fields and had in-depth discussions on the cooperation in various related fields between the two universities. After the meeting, both sides reached a broad consensus on areas such as exchanges of students and faculty, setting up a Chinese language and culture center, and scientific research cooperation in emerging disciplines.
